October 25, 2018
9:30am – 3:30pm ET
NCAA Hall of Champions, Indianapolis
Put on your game face—the October HR Community Meeting is shaping up to be a barn burner. We’re gathering at the NCAA Hall of Champions in Indianapolis where we’ll share project updates for our HR2020 initiatives, and with the help of a few special guest “coaches,” consider some of the ways you can develop your skills and expand your HR playbook.
Get off the bench and make the winning play.
Among his multiple roles at IUPUI, Stephen Hundley provides strategic advice and consultation to IUPUI’s Chancellor. As our first keynote speaker, he’ll help us uncover and develop the characteristics and skills we have that make us valued internal consultants.
A strong team is united around a common goal.
Lou Nanni, our second keynote speaker, has a penchant for rallying people around a common cause. Whether it’s overseeing development at the University of Notre Dame and their Alumni Association, or establishing the Center for the Homeless in South Bend as a national model in addressing homelessness, Lou has the ability to unite diverse people under a shared goal and make a lasting impact. He’ll share his experiences and help you discover how they might relate to your role at IU.
A winning team:
Join us in October to enhance your skills and collaborate with your HR colleagues from across IU.

Our November meeting will focus on project updates on HR2020 initiatives and priorities. We are eager to share the progress that has been made on these projects and how they are contributing to the success of Indiana University.
We are also excited to welcome Jeff Nally as our speaker for the meeting. Jeff Nally is an executive coach, speaker, and author who brings together neuroscience research, coaching methodologies, and well-being strategies to help leaders achieve what they really want at work and in life. He has 23 years of professional experience in HR, executive coaching, and leadership development. Jeff has been an executive leader in corporate and not-for-profit organizations.
Jeff’s talk will center on rallying HR’s courage to get results by asking coaching questions that create insights, solve challenges, and lead change. HR’s strategic contribution goes beyond having all the technical and functional answers to HR issues. We earn our seat at the strategy table by asking brain-based questions that generate solutions.
